HCG Hormone Diet
This is a test … you may follow me if you choose, but look away if I crash and burn! I am so over this weight. My 6th baby broke my body and from that point on, I have pretty much maintained 148-154 lbs. no matter what I do. Even running 6 miles per day did nothing to alter my weight.
I consider myself to be a very healthy person in terms of diet. My food is generally clean (sans the times I choose am forced to consume fast food or food that appears healthy but probably isn’t). I try not to ingest anything containing chemicals, HFCS, preservatives, etc.
I exercise when I can now, but I can’t seem to get rid of this stinking weight – which, as most anyone who may be overweight knows, becomes more challenging to do as time passes. Plus, with total BHRT, weight loss becomes even more challenging (it’s not the hormones themselves, it’s the imbalance of hormones that will kick a person’s butt).
So, I am trying the HCG Hormone Diet. Today is Phase 1, Round 1, Day 1 — and I bent the tiny needle while injecting myself. I truly suck at this – thank goodness I didn’t finish nursing school!
I’ve read about different methods of preparing for the diet, such as gorging yourself for 2 days. I had a high fat day 2 days ago (because I was being lazy and refused to cook), and yesterday was a good day: apple for breakfast, veggie salad with oil and vinegar for lunch, and baked chicken and a green bean variety for dinner (the boys had boiled red potatoes added to their plates). I had a handful of mixed raisins for a snack. That is more of a typical day of eating for me.
Here are some other things that I might do:
- Increase water intake (hard for me because I hate water)
- Walk (I can do this if I think about it – most of the time I forget to think about it :sidefrown: )
- Apples
- Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (3 tbs./day)
- ThreeLac
- Eleotin Tea
- Wu Long Tea :-?
- Chamomile Tea
- Green Tea (already drink)
- Organic Yerba Mate Tea
- Probiotics (already use)

How Does Your Car Run?
I’d like to discuss the thyroid and how important it is that this butterfly-shaped gland runs smoothly and maintains an optimal RPM for your needs.
After my 6th baby broke me, one of the tests regularly run on me was that of the thyroid. Obviously something was not quite right; I had gained a lot of weight with baby #6, and never could seem to shake it off. I was suddenly depressed (even experienced my first bout with PPD). Stamina was some distant memory. Just exactly how did I get it all done?
Even more depressing to my endless list of ailments was the fact that my thyroid was always “fine”. My thyroid levels clearly displayed a downward progression over the past two years to where it currently rests – on the dividing line between fine and not fine. Thyroid levels for the average 40-year-old woman should measure between 0.4-4.5. So, I ask, “Fine according to what or who’s scale?” Who says fine on your scale equates to fine for what my body needs to function at an optimal level? So tell me, what exactly were the doctors measuring? Were they simply looking for the proverbial thump on the head? Something easy to spot, which required little thought or stepping out-of-the-box? As in, Ding-dong stupid, it’s the thiiiroid! Duh!
UGH! What exactly does the thyroid do that causes well-meaning but short-sighted physicians to tap just the outer edge of this complex hormonal gland? The thyroid controls metabolism, regulates body temperature and heart rate. It secretes iodine relates hormones (those that keep the knobby boobies at bay), and thyroxine (T4). T4 is an interesting animal. There are two types made: free T4 and not free T4 (yes this is a simplistic explanation). The T4 that is not free – well, there’s nothing we can do about that. We are most interested in the free T4. Why? Because we can learn two things from it: (1) Is there enough free T4 to actually do the job of making triiodothyronine (T3); and, (2) How does it distribute between T3 and Reverse T3 (RT3)?
Some doctors may go as far as testing T4, but few go beyond scratching the surface of the thyroid and actually test for the distribution of T3. This is where you will find the actual truth about how well your car really is running.
Daily Health & Wellness Routine
Filed under: BHRT, Exercise, Hormone Replacement, Supplements
I’m sure my daily routine will evolve as I progress through the various stages of newly acquired knowledge, but for now, this is my regimen.
Morning
- 16.9 oz bottle of mineral water with lemon to help get my digestive tract moving
- Coffee (projected to migrate toward non-caffeinated variety within a year) w/skim milk
- Generally a *carbs only* breakfast because I do drink coffee with skim milk (almost always a smoothie since I hide my powdered All-One for Seniors vitamins in there)
- Hormones and Supplements: Estrodiol, Testosterone troche, Sam-e, Pearls, Enzymes, Resverotrol, Thyroidplex,L-Glutothione, Adrenal 180, Pure IGF, NO SHOT® B-12
Afternoon
- 16.9 oz bottle of mineral water
- Adrenal Sense
- Stonyfield Organic Probiotic Fat Free Yogurt
Evening
- 16.9 oz bottle of mineral water
- Hormones and Supplements: Estrodiol, Progesterone, and Adrenal 180
On Monday, I will be visiting with a nutritionist. He will be able to tell me if I need iodine (as I have very large and fibrous breasts and I do not use table salt), plus other supplementation such as a pharmaceutical grade multivitamin. I am also going to ask him about Resveratrol, Testosterone gel, and Three Lac.
I will also be adding in exercise this week. It is the first time that I feel like I have slightly more energy than it takes to brush my teeth, so yeah – things are looking up!
As far as how I’m feeling: Still crappy. Although the heavy fog has lifted, I am still exhausted and just not my self. My mannerism has moved from sweet and cute to the extreme of being snarky. I am very quick to make comments that are short and sometimes rude. For example, upon entering Office Max today, the associate asked if I was able to find everything okay. My reply to her was, “Well since I just stepped through the door, I don’t know yet. But I’ll be sure to let you know if I find that I do need help!” Yeah – well at that particular moment, it seemed an appropriate reply. Shocking, isn’t it?!
I have discovered a non-malignant lump in my right breast. At least that’s what the letter from Gulf Imaging said. However, there was enough concern that I should revisit in 4 months. I’m not waiting that long. This sucker is very painful and it is huge!
BHRT
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is not a subject for the unprepared. It is a subject that requires the user to be firm, be consistent, and be knowledgeable. Be prepared to be met with hostility. That is what I am currently enduring. As a result of a total hysterectomy, my body was thrown into surgical induced menopause which is more violent than natural menopause. Naturally occurring menopause is a gradual decline in hormonal activity or balance. Surgical induced menopause symptoms may take several days before the effects of having zero reproductive hormones take effect.
Then, holy hell! Watch out! Take your children and run … fast … and far away! Medusa has just entered the room.
This once fun-loving, quirky, energetic blonde has morphed into an unrecognizable, possibly inhumane being. Cute no longer fits her description. She has developed Tourette’s (or diarrhea of the mouth). If she has to drag her saggy derriere out of bed, be forewarned. Do not under any circumstances ask her anything. She is completely focused on making it to the bathroom before leakage becomes apparent. Energy is a distant and foggy memory. Fun requires that she smile and that’s just too much effort at this point. And loving – yeah … well. She does love you. Just don’t press her about it.
So where does one go from here? How does she pull herself up from the gates of hell? She could pop a synthetic pill. But what if they make her puke? The toilet doesn’t need any more contaminants even though it’s an inanimate object. Bioidenticals becomes her only option. It’s a logical option since she has always been concerned with her health and what chemicals she ingests.
One of her doctors says she doesn’t need Estrogen. What about the river running from her boobs down her legs as she taps out a simple email (with head laying on desk). How does she thwart the goose-bumps when she’s neither cold nor hot? How about that theory of going outside with a wet head? It’s kind of unavoidable when sweat is the name of the game 24/7.
The other doctor insists that synthetic hormones are just fine. Yeah – tell that to someone who doesn’t feel like she is dying … literally. Don’t ever say to your patient that BHRT is a load of b.s. Don’t judge what you don’t understand.
A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market, is afraid of its people.
~ John F. Kennedy, 1962
So why don’t we understand the value or even more simply, the concept, of BHRT? Because the government is secretly Nazi’s. They don’t want you to know because they haven’t figured out a way to capitalize on it yet. Once they do, BHRT will be expensive and the public will be duly educated as to the amazing health benefits of this newly discovered science.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as self-evident.
~ Arthur Schopenhauer, German Philosopher (February 22, 1788–September 21, 1860)
If you think the above quote is nonsense, think about the sheer hell Galileo Galilei (and many other great thinkers) went through when he had the audacity to suggest that the Earth moves and the Sun stands still at the center. He was labeled ‘crazy’. The notion that his hypothesis contradicted scripture was considered blasphemy. He was severely punished by the church. Now, we know this to be truth and embrace the idea as it should have been in 1616.
To be continued …
