Control Your Thoughts

imagegenIt’s a no-brainer in the field of Law of Attraction and manifesting the life of your dreams, that when you intentionally and deliberately control your thoughts, you control your reality.

Let’s take a look at the science behind the claim that when you control your thoughts, you control your reality.

Contemporary cell research is now based on the principles of quantum physics that shows the world as being created out of energy. Researchers have now demonstrated that our cells’ membranes contain special proteins called Integral Membrane Proteins (IMPs) that respond to energy signals from the external and internal environment. These are important findings because they acknowledge that biological behavior can be controlled by “invisible” energy forces, which include thought.

One of the oldest precepts of neuroscience has been that our mental processes (thinking) originate from brain activity; that our brain is in charge when it comes to creating and shaping our mind. However, more recent research has shown that it can also work the other way around: that focused, repetitive mental activity can affect changes in your brain’s structure, wiring, and capabilities.

Thoughts are basically electrical impulses, chemicals and neurons. They look like a tree with branches. As thoughts develop, whether positive or negative, the branches of the tree grow, expand, and strengthen. Changing your thinking will cause old branches to die off, new branches to form (much in the same way cells die and new ones form) and potentially restructure your whole thought process. The mind and body truly are connected.

The other day I had begun the morning with a feeling of dread … I truly thought the day would be terrible. There was NOTHING that had happened to facilitate this feeling – I just woke up that way. Every thought of all the “terrible” in my life had popped into my head as I went through my morning routine. I felt like I was getting SICK (stress on my body), my mood was SOUR, and my attitude SUCKED (my thoughts controlled my reality), and guess what? I thought, I felt, I manifested it into reality … I guess you could suppose that I had a premonition, but I don’t feel like that was the reality of the situation. I believe my negative thoughts laid out the foundation for the events to develop. Nothing about that day went right for me. Basically, what it looked like was me being a total witch, not understanding and loving, thinking other people were wronging ME! Boy, did I get a reality check … I had to eat a mighty big piece of Humble Pie.

Your THOUGHTS affect your BODY and REALITY. If you don’t focus your INTENT on what YOU want, then YOUR reality is created by default … as if you have no control over what comes into your life … it will be a collection of other people’s discordant thoughts, fear, worries and unaccomplished wants. Perhaps another reason why we can’t say NO, and then are miserable with the outcome?

    Thanks for this. It is very useful to realise that you can control your thoughts rather than the other-way round. I will definitely be using some of these tips as I am a bit of a worrier even though I think I am essentially a positive person.
